How long does a typical Dinner last?

A typical dinner party ranges anywhere from 1.5hrs- 5 hrs depending on the evening.  The more food, the longer event tends to be.  Need us for a certain amount of time and we will include that in our service.

Are there any requirements needed in my kitchen?

All we ask is that you provide the plates, glasses, silverware etc.  If you need any of these items we can set you up with a rental company (below).  We provide all the cookware and food for the evening and can work in any size kitchen.  Don't have a kitchen?  No problem, just let our chefs know and we can tailor a menu around that.

How Many Menu Items Should I Select?

This really comes down to personal taste, style of event and how many items you would like to try.  At a minimum we reccomend:

  • Plated Dinner - 2 hors d'oeuvres with 3 courses

  • Family Style - 2 hors d'oeuvres, 1 entree, 2 sides, 1 salad, 1 dessert

  • Heavy Apps - 4 apps with a combination of meats, vegetables, sweet, and savory items.

How much does this cost?

A typically full dinner event ranges from $75-$150/ person depending on the final menu.  Since all our of work is customized to our clients we work with them to stick to their budget, you can find more info here: www.tbdfoods.com/menus

We also offer heavy hor d'oeuvre, Backyard BBQ, and New England Clambake options starting at $40/ person

Where is the food sourced?

The food is sourced from a variety of farms, shops, butchers and fish suppliers in the area, check our Our Sources Page for more info.

Recommendations for Rental Items?

We use Butler Rents in Cherry Creek for larger events. Prices are usually around $5-7/ person.

For something a little more elegant, I recommend using Colorado Party Rentals, since they have a wider variety of dinnerware, flatware, and linens that can fit any theme.

Do you provide beverage pairings?

Yes, we can provide wine, beer, cocktail or a combination of pairings starting at $50/ person.  If your looking just for some suggestions let us know and one of our chefs would be happy to share their thoughts with you.

Is Set up and Clean Up Included?

We will set up all the cooking equipment for the event once we arrive.  Our staff will clean throughout the night and make sure all dishes and glasses are taken care of.

If you need us to set up or breakdown the tables or decor, let us know as we can certainly provide that for you (additional fee may apply)

What is needed to reserve a chef?

Once you figure out the service you would like and have chatted with a chef, we can go ahead and reserve the date for you.  All we require is a 50% deposit, which is fully refundable up to 2 weeks (for small events) or 4 weeks (for large events) before your event. We take this payment securely through our website on a custom page, only accessible to you.

We take the deposit off the lowest possible price, so if you are still ironing out the menu, no problem we will make any adjustments during the final payment, the day of the event, via cash, check or card.
